DDI’s Scholarship Drive 2017-2018
Will you help us meet a fundraising goal for our scholarship drive by making a tax-deductible contribution to assist a deserving young person from our community in pursuing their secondary aspirations of college, Peace Corps and everything this world has to offer?
My name is Carlisha Gentles and I am the Executive Director for Dissipating Disparities, Inc. Our non-profit organization, DDI, mission is to eliminate disparities and empower our communities in the area of health and wellness, financial literacy and education. Being that the youth are our future, we must be sure that we empower them with the essential tools needed to lead productive, successful and amazing lives. The first step is opportunities beyond high school. Your contribution to our scholarship fund will do just that! Sadly, one of the top reasons students do not attend college is because they feel they cannot afford it. Let us do our part in helping to make these opportunities more of a reality.
From 2014 – 2016, we have been able to assist 7 amazing, bright, and deserving students in pursuing their dreams, one being Mr. Christopher Sneed. Here is a quick blurb by Mr. Sneed:
Dear Mrs. Carlisha, DDI, Gentles, and Brown Families,
I am Christopher Sneed and in 25 days which is 3 weeks and 4 days, 600 hours, 36,000 minutes, and 2, 160, 000 seconds, I will have completed my freshman year at Middle GA State University! I praise God for the opportunity, and I thank DDI from the bottom of my heart. I heard you were having a party tonight. I hope you are having as much fun as I am having in college. This has been the best and hardest year of my life, but I am loving college life. I am doing well in all my classes. I even enjoy going to class and studying. College has opened a whole new world for me, and I thank DDI for investing in me and the other students who have received your scholarship. You have really made a difference in our lives. Please continue to support DDI, because in times like this we need your prayers, love, and financial support. Mrs. Carlisha, thank you for being such a caring person. You know we love you and your entire family.
Love, Christopher Sneed
PS. I even went to Panama City Beach on Spring Break, and I had a real good time, and my mother survived!!!!!!!
Your contribution today will have immediate impact right here in our area to help continue making dreams become realities for our local students. We have raised funds to provide fpur deserving students with scholarships, but this year we wanted to do even better by providing an additional 2 more scholarships!!!
We urge you to please support outstanding students in our community whose lives you can change forever. Making a gift to our annual scholarship drive is making a dream come true. To the student who receives your financial help through an academic scholarship, a new path to success is laid. Thank you for making the future brighter for a student!
If we do not support our youth today, they will not be able to lead tomorrow…Donate Today! 🙂
All the best!
Carlisha 🙂
